Workshop Details

No. of days: 2

Team Strength: 5 per team

Certification: Hawkeye Techworks

Swarm Robotics replicates the natural techniques used by various insects, birds, etc., such as ants, to get a task done. A master robot commands a group of slave robots and collectively they accomplish a task. Potential applications for swarm robotics is indeed huge. It includes tasks that demand for miniaturization (nanorobotics, microbotics), like distributed sensing tasks in micromachinery or the human body.
One of the most promising uses of swarm robotics is in disaster rescue missions. Swarms of robots of different sizes could be sent to places rescue workers can't reach safely to detect the presence of life via infra-red sensors. On the other hand swarm robotics can be suited to tasks that demand cheap designs, for instance mining tasks or agricultural foraging tasks. Also some artists use swarm robotic techniques to realize new forms of interactive art.

Overview
The workshop spans for 2 days* which includes the theory, hands-on, fabrication, and testing sessions. No pre-requisites are required to attend this workshop. Our training pattern caters to need of beginners as well as professionals and graduates. Participants will learn all the basics and also the advanced concepts.
Outcome
Participants, at the end of the workshop, will be thorough with the concepts, technology, software, and hardware taught to them during the swarm robotics workshop. With the knowledge and experience they gather at the workshop, the students will be capable of doing not only a swarm capable robot, but also different interesting and innovative projects on their own from scratch.
Content
  • Intro to Robotics and Embedded systems
  • Classification of Robots
  • I/O devices
  • Microcontrollers
  • Components overview and detailed description
  • Interfacing
  • Software
  • Arduino Programming
  • Line Follower Robot and it's fabrication
  • Swarm robot and it's fabrication
Scope
Hands-on training is always two steps ahead in making the students understand the concepts of engineering than regular classrooms. This practical insight into the subjects they study makes them more and more confident and thus makes it easy for them to gain a good position in a company. Our workshops are not just about certificates. We aim at making each and every student capable and confident enough to excel in the corporate world. Our workshops provide an edge to the students.
Certification
The Swarm Robotics workshop is certified by Hawkeye Techworks. All the participants would be getting a certificate of participation. Top performing teams will get a certificate of merit. The performance would be evaluated during the workshop through interactive sessions and competitions. The workshop coordinators will be given a certificate of appreciation.
